How to Choose a Genuine and Reliable Elevator in Bangladesh
Buying an elevator is a long-term investment and a life-safety decision. Do not choose an elevator only by its logo, brand name or lowest price. Verify what you are actually buying.
1. Why Are There So Many “Fuji” and “Sigma” Elevators?
Many buyers are confused because they find Fuji, HD Fuji, Fuji Star, Sigma and many other similar names in the elevator market, often at very different prices.
Fuji — understand the difference
There are three categories commonly seen in the market:
1. Genuine Fujitec Japan
Fujitec is the genuine Japanese elevator manufacturer associated with the Fujitec brand. “Fuji” should not automatically be understood to mean Fujitec Japan.
2. Fuji-named products from China
There are Chinese elevator products and companies using names such as Fuji, HD Fuji, Fuji Star and other Fuji-related branding. A Chinese product carrying the name “Fuji” should not automatically be considered a Japanese Fujitec product or assumed to have a collaboration with Fujitec Japan. The manufacturer, origin and authorization should be independently verified.
3. Locally branded/copied Fuji products
In some markets, including Bangladesh, buyers may encounter locally supplied elevators carrying Fuji-related names, logos or nameplates. A locally printed logo or nameplate does not prove that the equipment was manufactured by the claimed international manufacturer.
Sigma — apply the same verification principle
The same problem can occur with Sigma.
1. Genuine Korean Sigma
If a supplier claims to provide the genuine Korean Sigma elevator, ask for evidence of the actual manufacturer and its authorized distribution channel.
2. Sigma-named products from China
A Chinese elevator carrying the name “Sigma” should not automatically be assumed to be the same product as genuine Korean Sigma. The supplier should prove the actual manufacturer and relationship with the claimed principal.
3. Locally branded/copied Sigma products
A Sigma logo, sticker or nameplate applied locally is not sufficient evidence of Korean origin or genuine authorization.
The simple rule
A famous name does not make an elevator genuine. A logo can be copied, a nameplate can be reproduced, and branding can be changed.
If you are specifically looking for an original international brand, verify it directly with the principal manufacturer or its authorized agent.
And if you cannot verify the claimed international brand, a transparent Bangladeshi elevator company using genuine, clearly identified components and providing proper installation and maintenance may be a much better choice than buying an expensive elevator simply because a famous name is printed on it.
The lowest price is not necessarily the best value. Verify what you are actually purchasing.
2. How Can I Choose the Right Elevator?
The 7-Point Genuine Elevator Verification Test
1. Direct Principal Manufacturer Confirmation
Ask the supplier to create an email group including you, the local authorized agent and the principal manufacturer. You should be able to communicate directly with the actual manufacturer.
2. Pre-Shipment Live Factory Verification
Before shipment, request a live video call from the factory and ask them to show the actual equipment prepared for your project.
3. Counterweight + Motor + Controller Verification
During the live video call, ask the factory to show the actual counterweight, motor/machine and controller for your project.
Write the project number or LC number on the counterweight, with one authorized factory representative’s signature. Keep the photographs/video as project evidence.
4. Authorization Verification
Ask for current documents proving that the supplier is actually authorized to sell the claimed brand.
Company registration or trademark registration alone is not proof of authorization from another manufacturer.
5. Brand-Specific Engineering Verification
A genuine established elevator brand should have a consistent and traceable engineering system, including its controller, software, firmware, communication system, diagnostics and product architecture.
A logo or keypad alone is not enough.
6. Component Consistency Check
Check the actual motor, controller, inverter, door system, safety components and other major parts against the specification promised by the supplier.
If major components are changed without a clear explanation, treat this as a warning sign.
7. Supplier Due Diligence
Check the supplier’s company history, technical capability, installation team, maintenance team, spare parts availability, completed projects and customer references.
Do not verify only the elevator—verify the company behind it.
3. How Can I Find a Good Elevator Company in Bangladesh?
If you are buying an elevator from a local Bangladeshi company, check the following:
Most importantly:
Do not choose an elevator company only because it can put a famous name on the elevator.
A trustworthy company should be able to tell you who manufactured the elevator, what components are being used, who will install it, who will maintain it and who will support you in the future.
The Golden Rule
Don’t buy the logo.
Verify the manufacturer.
Verify the origin.
Verify the authorization.
Verify the engineering.
Verify the company.

বাংলাদেশে সঠিক ও নির্ভরযোগ্য লিফট কীভাবে নির্বাচন করবেন
লিফট একটি দীর্ঘমেয়াদি বিনিয়োগ এবং একই সঙ্গে একটি জীবন–নিরাপত্তার (Life Safety) পণ্য। তাইশুধু লোগো, ব্র্যান্ডের নাম বা সবচেয়ে কম দামের ভিত্তিতে লিফট নির্বাচন করা উচিত নয়।
আপনি আসলে কী কিনছেন—সেটি যাচাই করুন।
১. এত “Fuji” ও “Sigma” লিফট কেন?
অনেক ক্রেতা বিভ্রান্ত হন কারণ বাজারে Fuji, HD Fuji, Fuji Star, Sigma এবং একই ধরনের আরওঅনেক নামের লিফট দেখা যায়, এবং এগুলোর দামের মধ্যেও অনেক পার্থক্য থাকে।
Fuji — পার্থক্যটি বুঝুন
বাজারে সাধারণভাবে তিন ধরনের Fuji নামযুক্ত লিফট দেখা যেতে পারে:
১. Genuine Fujitec Japan
Fujitec হলো জাপানের প্রকৃত আন্তর্জাতিক লিফট প্রস্তুতকারক প্রতিষ্ঠান। তাই “Fuji” নাম দেখলেইসেটিকে Fujitec Japan-এর লিফট ধরে নেওয়া উচিত নয়।
২. China থেকে আসা Fuji নামযুক্ত পণ্য
চীনে Fuji, HD Fuji, Fuji Star এবং Fuji-সম্পর্কিত বিভিন্ন নামে লিফট ও কোম্পানি দেখা যায়।
কোনো Chinese elevator-এ “Fuji” নাম থাকলেই সেটিকে Japanese Fujitec-এর লিফট বলা যাবে নাএবং Fujitec Japan-এর সঙ্গে তাদের কোনো collaboration বা সম্পর্ক আছে—এমনটিও ধরে নেওয়া যাবেনা।
সরবরাহকারীকে প্রকৃত manufacturer, country of origin এবং authorization প্রমাণ করতে হবে।
৩. বাংলাদেশে স্থানীয়ভাবে ব্যবহৃত/কপি করা Fuji ব্র্যান্ডিং
বাংলাদেশের বাজারে এমন লিফটও দেখা যেতে পারে যেখানে Fuji-সম্পর্কিত নাম, লোগো বা nameplate স্থানীয়ভাবে ব্যবহার করা হয়েছে।
কোনো স্থানীয়ভাবে লাগানো logo, sticker বা nameplate কখনোই প্রমাণ করে না যে লিফটটি সংশ্লিষ্টআন্তর্জাতিক manufacturer তৈরি করেছে।
Sigma — একইভাবে যাচাই করুন
Sigma নামের ক্ষেত্রেও একই সতর্কতা প্রযোজ্য।
১. Genuine Korean Sigma
কোনো supplier যদি genuine Korean Sigma elevator দেওয়ার দাবি করে, তাহলে প্রকৃত manufacturer এবং authorized distribution channel–এর প্রমাণ চাইতে হবে।
২. China থেকে আসা Sigma নামযুক্ত পণ্য
কোনো Chinese elevator-এ “Sigma” নাম থাকলেই সেটিকে genuine Korean Sigma-এর একই product হিসেবে ধরে নেওয়া উচিত নয়।
সরবরাহকারীকে প্রকৃত manufacturer এবং claimed principal-এর সঙ্গে সম্পর্কের প্রমাণ দিতে হবে।
৩. বাংলাদেশে স্থানীয়ভাবে ব্যবহৃত/কপি করা Sigma ব্র্যান্ডিং
বাংলাদেশে স্থানীয়ভাবে লাগানো Sigma logo, sticker বা nameplate Korean origin বা genuine authorization-এর প্রমাণ নয়।
সহজ নিয়ম
একটি বিখ্যাত নাম কোনো লিফটকে genuine করে না।
Logo কপি করা যায়, nameplate তৈরি করা যায় এবং branding পরিবর্তন করা যায়।
আপনি যদি কোনো original international brand কিনতে চান, তাহলে সেই brand-এর principal manufacturer অথবা authorized agent-এর মাধ্যমে সরাসরি যাচাই করুন।
আর যদি কোনো international brand-এর দাবি যাচাই করা না যায়, তাহলে ভালো মানের genuine components ব্যবহার করে, স্বচ্ছভাবে কাজ করে এবং নিজস্ব installation ও maintenance service প্রদানকরে—এমন একটি বিশ্বস্ত Bangladeshi elevator company অনেক সময় শুধু একটি বিখ্যাত নাম লেখাকম দামের লিফটের চেয়ে ভালো সিদ্ধান্ত হতে পারে।
সবচেয়ে কম দাম মানেই সবচেয়ে ভালো value নয়। আপনি আসলে কী কিনছেন—তা যাচাই করুন।
২. কীভাবে সঠিক লিফট নির্বাচন করবেন?
৭–পয়েন্ট Genuine Elevator Verification Test
১. সরাসরি Principal Manufacturer-এর Confirmation
Supplier-কে বলুন একটি email group তৈরি করতে যেখানে থাকবে:
Customer + Local Authorized Agent + Principal Manufacturer
আপনার যেন প্রকৃত manufacturer-এর সঙ্গে সরাসরি যোগাযোগ করার সুযোগ থাকে।
২. Shipment-এর আগে Live Factory Verification
লিফট shipment করার আগে factory থেকে live video call করতে বলুন।
শুধু catalogue-এর ছবি নয়—আপনার project-এর জন্য প্রস্তুত করা actual equipment দেখাতে হবে।
৩. Counterweight + Motor + Controller Verification
Live video call-এর সময় আপনার project-এর:
দেখাতে বলুন।
Counterweight-এর ওপর Project Number অথবা LC Number লিখে তার পাশে factory-এরএকজন authorized representative-এর signature দিতে বলুন।
এই verification-এর ছবি ও ভিডিও সংরক্ষণ করুন।
৪. Authorization Verification
Supplier যে brand বিক্রি করার দাবি করছে, সেই brand-এর জন্য তার বর্তমান authorization-এর প্রমাণচাইুন।
শুধু company registration বা trademark registration থাকলেই অন্য কোনো international manufacturer-এর authorized agent প্রমাণ হয় না।
৫. Brand-Specific Engineering Verification
একটি genuine established elevator brand-এর একটি consistent এবং traceable engineering system থাকা উচিত।
এর মধ্যে থাকতে পারে:
শুধু logo বা keypad দেখে কোনো brand genuine বলে ধরে নেওয়া উচিত নয়।
৬. Component Consistency Check
লিফটের:
supplier যে specification দিয়েছে, সেগুলোর সঙ্গে মিলিয়ে দেখুন।
গুরুত্বপূর্ণ component কোনো পরিষ্কার কারণ ছাড়াই পরিবর্তন করা হলে সেটি warning sign হতে পারে।
৭. Supplier Due Diligence
Supplier-এর:
যাচাই করুন।
শুধু লিফট নয়—লিফটের পেছনে থাকা কোম্পানিকেও যাচাই করুন।
৩. বাংলাদেশে ভালো Elevator Company কীভাবে খুঁজে পাবেন?
আপনি যদি কোনো Bangladeshi local elevator company থেকে লিফট কিনতে চান, তাহলে নিচেরবিষয়গুলো অবশ্যই যাচাই করুন:

শুধু একটি বিখ্যাত নাম elevator-এর গায়ে লিখে দিতে পারে বলেই কোনো কোম্পানিকে ভালোকোম্পানি মনে করবেন না।
একটি বিশ্বস্ত কোম্পানি আপনাকে পরিষ্কারভাবে বলতে পারবে:
কে elevator তৈরি করেছে,
কোন components ব্যবহার করা হয়েছে,
কে installation করবে,
কে maintenance করবে,
এবং ভবিষ্যতে কে আপনাকে support করবে।
